The High Country Cloggers from Boone, North Carolina, USA, led by Vanessa Minton and Amber Hendley, are a fun and energetic dance team wanting to share the joy of dancing.
Dancing is a tool, their way of bringing people together. Inspired by Irish Step dancing, High Country Cloggers began in their backyard of the Appalachian Mountain in Boone, North Carolina.
Over 30 years ago, Vanessa Minton, started the High Country Cloggers and has since passed the baton to her daughter, Amber Hendley.
Vanessa and Amber instruct dancers of all ages at the High Country Dance Studio and offer recreational and competition classes such as clogging, jazz, hip-hop, tumbling and cheer.
These dancers perform locally at special events, festivals, and parades and have performed nationally as part of the virtual Inauguration Parade for the President of the United States in 2021.
The High Country Cloggers will be performing at the Capitol’s Fourth of July Parade in Washington, DC in July 2022.
